Vicky Mkhawana makes Casric Stars switch from Kaizer Chiefs II
South Africa midfielder Vicky Mkhawana has joined Casric Stars on loan from Kaizer Chiefs II, completing a move that will keep the 20-year-old at the club until 30 June 2027.
Mkhawana, who plays as a defensive midfielder, made the switch on 18 August 2026. The move represents his latest change of club after spending the latter part of the 2025-26 season with Kruger United.
The midfielder joined Kruger United on loan from Kaizer Chiefs II on 11 February 2026 before returning to the Soweto club when that temporary arrangement ended on 30 June. He has now moved on again, this time to Casric Stars for the 2026-27 campaign.
Mkhawana first became part of the Kaizer Chiefs II set-up in July 2023 after leaving the club’s youth side. That pathway marked his move into senior football, with his subsequent loans taking him away from the Chiefs system before his latest switch to Casric Stars.
Born on 10 January 2006, Mkhawana is a South African player whose primary position is in defensive midfield. His role places him at the base of the midfield, where he will now continue his football with Casric Stars during the loan period.
The move was completed on 18 August and is scheduled to run until the end of June 2027. At that point, the transfer arrangement provides for his return to Kaizer Chiefs II.
Mkhawana’s career record now includes spells with Kaizer Chiefs’ youth team, Kaizer Chiefs II and Kruger United, with Casric Stars becoming his latest senior destination. The agreement gives him a new club for the 2026-27 season while retaining his link with Kaizer Chiefs II beyond the loan.
The South African midfielder is therefore set to spend the campaign with Casric Stars before returning to Kaizer Chiefs II at the conclusion of the arrangement. His move to Casric Stars has been completed on loan.
