Bahla Club bring in Cameroon defender Junior Ngede to bolster Jindal League squad
Cameroon centre-back Junior Ngede has joined Oman’s Bahla Club on a free transfer from Bahrain side Busaiteen Club.
The 28-year-old completed the move on 17 August 2026, beginning a new chapter in the Jindal League after his spell with Busaiteen. Ngede, who was born in Yaounde, has spent much of his recent career in the Gulf region and now returns to Oman, where he previously played for Al-Nahda and Al-Rustaq.
Ngede is a right-footed central defender who stands 1.84m tall. His arrival gives Bahla experience in a position that demands consistency and defensive organisation, with the player having already played in domestic competitions in Oman and Bahrain as well as continental football.
His record includes 17 Jindal League appearances and six AFC Cup appearances, with one assist across those competitions. He has also featured in the CAF Confederation Cup during his career.
Before moving to Bahla, Ngede joined Busaiteen from fellow Bahraini club Saham on a free transfer in January 2026. That move followed a spell without a club after his departure from Al-Nahda in July 2024.
Ngede had joined Al-Nahda from Al-Rustaq in September 2023, also on a free transfer. His move to Al-Rustaq came after he left Cameroonian club Canon Yaounde in July 2021, marking the start of his period playing outside his home country.
The defender’s latest switch is therefore another cross-border move within the region, taking him from Bahrain back to Oman. He joins Bahla after a short stay at Busaiteen and becomes part of the club’s squad for the 2026-27 campaign.
Ngede’s career has included domestic football in Cameroon, Oman and Bahrain, along with appearances in the AFC Cup and CAF Confederation Cup. His experience across those competitions adds a measure of familiarity with different leagues and match demands.
Bahla have secured the Cameroon defender without a transfer fee, with the move formally taking effect on 17 August 2026.
