Abou Ba joins US Orleans as French-Senegalese midfielder arrives from Bordeaux

French-Senegalese defensive midfielder Abou Ba has joined US Orleans from G. Bordeaux on a free transfer, adding experience to the Ligue 3 club’s squad.

Ba, 28, completed the move on 17 August 2026 after leaving Bordeaux. The central midfielder now begins a new chapter with Orleans, who compete in France’s third tier.

The transfer brings a player with dual French and Senegalese nationality to a club operating in Ligue 3. Ba’s recognised position is defensive midfield, giving Orleans an option in the middle of the pitch as they prepare for the next stage of the season.
