Stellenbosch winger Devin Titus joins Moroccan champions MAS Fes
Stellenbosch FC winger Devin Titus has joined reigning Moroccan Botola Pro champions Maghreb Association Sportive de Fes on a permanent transfer after the club activated the release clause in his contract.
The 25-year-old, who came through Stellenbosch FC’s academy, leaves the Cape Winelands club having established himself as its most-capped outfield player. He made 176 appearances for Stellenbosch FC in all competitions and scored 36 goals, making him the club’s second-highest goalscorer.
Only goalkeeper and captain Sage Stephens has played more matches for Stellenbosch FC.
The transfer was confirmed by Stellenbosch FC in a statement issued on Sunday night. Titus now moves to Maghreb Association Sportive de Fes, who last week also unveiled former Stellenbosch FC forward Tshegofatso Mabasa.
Mabasa joined the Moroccan side after leaving Orlando Pirates when his contract with the South African club expired.
Titus’s departure brings an end to a spell in which he became one of the key figures in Stellenbosch FC’s rise. After graduating from the club’s development structure, he captained the reserve side to both the DStv Diski Challenge and Premier League Next Gen titles in 2022.
He subsequently became a regular in the senior team and went on to miss only one domestic league match across the past four seasons.
During that period, Titus helped Stellenbosch FC win the 2023 Carling Knockout, where he was named Player of the Tournament. He also played in successive MTN8 finals in 2024 and 2025, while contributing to the club’s qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup in consecutive campaigns.
His performances also earned him recognition at international level. Titus became a full Bafana Bafana international while playing in the Cape Winelands and represented South Africa at the 2024 COSAFA Cup. He won three caps in total.
Stellenbosch FC said Titus had represented the club’s values through both his performances and his conduct, adding that he had set an example for his team-mates and younger players.
“During his spell with the Club, Titus embodied the ethos of Stellenbosch FC in both his performances and professionalism, setting a benchmark for those around him and serving as a beacon for the next generation of players.”
The club acknowledged the significance of losing a player who had been part of its first-team set-up for several seasons, while expressing its support for his move abroad.
“His absence on the pitch and in the dressing room will be sorely felt, but he departs with the utmost gratitude and best wishes from everyone at Stellenbosch FC as he embarks on his journey abroad.”
