Bosnian coach Vahid Halilhodzic unveiled the recent offers he has received to return to the African continent and take charge of one of its national teams after departing from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
In an exclusive interview with “Al-Araby Al-Jadeed” website, Halilhodzic disclosed, “I can confirm that I have received numerous inquiries recently.
Perhaps there are five or six nations that left the current edition of the Africa Cup of Nations that have approached me, but I prefer not to reveal their identities.”
He added, “My phone has been constantly ringing these days.
I don’t have an official offer from Tunisia yet, but someone might have called me, and I didn’t respond because the number of calls is substantial, and sometimes I cannot answer them all.”
Halilhodzic continued, “I cannot provide my stance at the moment; it’s premature.
Many teams in the African continent appreciate my coaching style and want me to lead them.
Therefore, I’m uncertain about what the future holds in my career.
For now, I’ll leave it at that, and we’ll see what unfolds.”
