Ahmed El Rousi switches to G. Shebin as Egypt defender makes free-transfer move

Egyptian left-back Ahmed El Rousi has joined G. Shebin on a free transfer from Diamond SC, completing his move on 15 August 2026.

The 30-year-old defender moves to G. Shebin after one season with Diamond SC. El Rousi joined Diamond from Mansoura on a free transfer in July 2025, making his latest move the second consecutive free transfer of his career.

El Rousi began his spell at Mansoura after leaving Delta United in August 2023. His move to Mansoura followed a spell with Delta United and preceded his switch to Diamond SC two years later.

The defender’s preferred position is left-back, placing him in a role on the left side of G. Shebin’s defence. He was born on 1 September 1995 and represents Egypt at club level.

El Rousi’s arrival continues a sequence of moves between Egyptian clubs in recent seasons. He spent the 2023-24 campaign with Mansoura after departing Delta United, then moved to Diamond SC ahead of the 2025-26 season.

His period at Diamond SC has now ended, with the player joining G. Shebin without a transfer fee. The move was completed on 15 August 2026, the date recorded for the start of his new club spell.

El Rousi has therefore changed clubs in each of the past two transfer periods, first leaving Mansoura for Diamond SC and now moving on to G. Shebin. Both transfers were completed as free moves.

G. Shebin becomes the latest club in the defender’s senior career, following Delta United, Mansoura and Diamond SC. At 30, El Rousi brings experience of playing for several Egyptian sides to his new team.

The transfer history records no contract expiry date for his agreement with G. Shebin, while no contract length has been announced. The completed move leaves El Rousi registered as a G. Shebin player from 15 August 2026.
