Moroccan outfit RS Berkane have announced the return of defender Adil Tahif ahead of the new season.

The experienced Moroccan centre-back returns to the Orange team as a free agent after spending the previous campaign in Qatar with Umm Salal SC.

Adil Tahif signed a two-year contract, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2028 and is expected to play a huge role for the team.

His return represents a familiar reunion for both player and club, with Tahif having previously played an important role during his first spell with the Moroccan side.

Before his move to Qatar, the defender was part of the RS Berkane squad that enjoyed a successful period domestically and on the African continent.

During that spell, Tahif helped the club win three major trophies: the Moroccan Throne Cup, the CAF Confederation Cup and the Botola Pro title.

His experience of winning silverware with the club is expected to be valuable as RS Berkane prepare for another demanding campaign.

The decision to bring Tahif back also gives the club additional depth and experience in defence, while the player will be hoping to reproduce the form that made him an important figure during his previous spell.

After gaining experience in the Qatari league with Umm Salal, Tahif has now opted to return to familiar surroundings and resume his career with RS Berkane.

The club will be counting on the defender to strengthen its backline and contribute to its ambitions both domestically and in continental competition.

Tahif’s return is therefore another significant piece of business for RS Berkane, who continue to assemble a squad capable of competing for major honours in the upcoming season.
