Abdoulie Tamba linked with TPS loan move
Gambian centre-back Abdoulie Tamba is reportedly set to leave IFK Norrkoping temporarily, with Finnish club TPS emerging as his likely destination.
The 20-year-old defender joined the Swedish side one year ago and has made 13 appearances since arriving.
According to Footy-Africa, discussions are progressing over a loan move designed to give Tamba more regular playing time. The switch would allow the young defender to gain valuable senior experience while continuing his development in a different competitive environment.
Despite the proposed departure, IFK Norrkoping reportedly remain confident in Tamba’s long-term potential. His current contract runs until the end of the 2029 season, indicating that the Swedish club still views him as part of its future plans.
TPS currently sit eighth in Finland’s top division and could offer Tamba an important role in their defence. Regular minutes would help him build confidence, improve his decision-making and adapt to the demands of first-team football.
For IFK Norrkoping, the loan would represent a chance to protect Tamba’s development rather than end his time at the club. The move is not yet officially confirmed, but all parties could benefit if the agreement is completed before the transfer window closes.
