Mohamed Jaouab leaves Real Valladolid after one season in Spain

Morocco centre-back Mohamed Jaouab has left Real Valladolid and is now without a club after ending his time with the Spanish side.

The 24-year-old defender’s departure was recorded on 12 August 2026, bringing his spell at Valladolid to a close after joining the club from French side Stade Rennais in August 2025. He moved to Spain on a free transfer and spent the 2025-26 season with Valladolid.

Jaouab made seven appearances in LaLiga2 during his career, scoring once and playing 372 minutes in the competition. He has also featured in France’s Ligue 2, National 1, National 2 and the Coupe de France.

Standing at 1.90m, the right-footed defender plays primarily at centre-back. His senior career has included spells with Amiens SC and Stade Rennais, while he also played for Rennes B after joining the club from AM Football in September 2022.

Jaouab first moved to Amiens from Rennes in January 2024 for a reported fee of €400,000. He returned to Rennes at the end of that season before joining Amiens again on loan in August 2024. That loan ended in June 2025, ahead of his move to Valladolid two months later.

His career record in Ligue 2 includes 35 appearances and one assist, with a further 18 appearances and one goal in National 1. He also scored twice in six National 2 matches.

Jaouab’s market value is listed at €600,000, while his highest recorded value was €800,000. No new club or contract has been recorded since his departure from Real Valladolid.

The defender is therefore available as a free agent following the conclusion of his Valladolid spell.
