Dortmund left-back Almugera Kabar attracts NEC Nijmegen interest

German-Libyan left-back Almugera Kabar is being linked with a move from Dortmund to Eredivisie club NEC Nijmegen.

The 20-year-old defender remains under contract with Dortmund until 30 June 2028, meaning any move would involve negotiations between the Bundesliga side and NEC. No transfer fee has been reported.

Kabar joined Dortmund’s senior squad from the club’s Under-19 side in August 2024, having developed through the German club’s youth system. He has made six Bundesliga appearances, playing 149 minutes, and has also featured 14 times in the third tier.

The left-footed defender has represented Germany at youth level and was part of the side that won both the Under-17 World Cup and European Under-17 Championship in 2023.

NEC, who play in the Netherlands’ top division, are the club currently linked with Kabar, although the proposed transfer has not been confirmed. Dortmund continue to hold his registration and contractual rights.
