Bruma linked with Benfica exit to Saudi Pro League club Al-Diriyah

Portugal and Guinea-Bissau winger Bruma is being linked with a move from Benfica to Al-Diriyah, with the Saudi Pro League club named as his potential destination.

The 31-year-old left winger joined Benfica on 3 February 2025 and remains under contract with the Portuguese club until 30 June 2028. He is currently valued at €3m.

Bruma, who was born in Bissau, has represented both Portugal and Guinea-Bissau by nationality and plays primarily on the left side of attack. He is right-footed.

The possible move would see him switch Liga Portugal for the Saudi Pro League, although there is no indication in the available information that a transfer has been agreed or that negotiations have been completed.

Bruma has played for Benfica since arriving in 2025 and has previously won domestic honours in Turkey, the Netherlands and Greece. His latest listed major success came with SC Braga, where he was part of the Portuguese league cup-winning team in the 2023-24 season.

He also won the UEFA Nations League with Portugal in 2019 and the Dutch Cup and Dutch Super Cup with PSV Eindhoven in 2022. His contract length means Benfica would not be facing an imminent expiry-driven departure, with the player tied to the club for two more seasons beyond the current campaign.
