Olympiacos make fresh approach for Roma and Morocco international Anass Salah-Eddine

Olympiacos are preparing a renewed attempt to sign Morocco international Anass Salah-Eddine from AS Roma, according to Fos Online.

The Greek club have already reached an agreement with AS Roma over a potential transfer for the former PSV Eindhoven player. However, negotiations with Salah-Eddine have not yet produced an agreement, leaving the move dependent on whether the defender is willing to join Olympiacos.

Salah-Eddine had previously shown little interest in a move to Greece. That position had appeared to make a transfer difficult, despite Olympiacos establishing terms with his Italian club.

Fos Online reports that the Greek side are now ready to make another approach in an effort to change the player’s mind. The renewed contact represents a fresh attempt to complete a deal that remains unresolved because the two clubs’ agreement has not been matched by an agreement with Salah-Eddine.

The next decision rests with the Morocco international. While AS Roma have apparently accepted the terms proposed by Olympiacos, the player has yet to give the transfer his approval.

Salah-Eddine’s previous association with PSV Eindhoven is part of his background as Olympiacos consider whether another approach can bring the negotiations to a conclusion. For now, the proposed move remains open, with the main outstanding issue being the player’s position.

No agreement has yet been reached between Salah-Eddine and Olympiacos, and it remains to be seen whether the Moroccan will reconsider his earlier lack of interest in joining the Greek club.
