Sevilla make approach for Al-Ittihad forward George Ilenikhena

Nigerian-French forward George Ilenikhena, currently with Al-Ittihad, has been linked with a move to Sevilla.

The 19-year-old centre-forward joined the Saudi Pro League club from Monaco on 2 February 2026 in a deal worth €33m. He signed a contract running until 30 June 2029, meaning any move to La Liga would require negotiations with Al-Ittihad rather than a free transfer.

Ilenikhena made the switch to Monaco from Royal Antwerp in July 2024 for €18.75m, having previously joined the Belgian club from Amiens. He won the Belgian Super Cup with Antwerp during the 2023-24 season.

Born in Lagos, Ilenikhena holds Nigerian and French nationality. He is listed at 1.85m and plays as a left-footed centre-forward.

The link with Sevilla comes only months after his move to Al-Ittihad and would represent another significant change of club for the teenager. The Spanish side are being associated with the player, but the available information does not indicate that an agreement has been reached or that a transfer is imminent.

Ilenikhena remains an Al-Ittihad player, with his contract in Saudi Arabia scheduled to expire at the end of June 2029.
