Togolese striker Mansour Ouro-Tagba joins VfL Bochum on four-year deal

Togolese striker Mansour Ouro-Tagba has officially completed a move to German second-tier side VfL Bochum, signing a four-year contract with the club.

The 21-year-old centre-forward joined Bochum on Monday, August 10, 2026, after ending his spell with Bundesliga side FC Köln.

Ouro-Tagba has committed his future to the 2. Bundesliga outfit until June 30, 2030, giving him the opportunity to continue his development in Germany as he looks to establish himself at a higher level of the professional game.

The Togolese international is already familiar with German football, having spent the majority of his young career in the country. Before joining FC Köln, he featured for both 1860 Munich and SSV Jahn Regensburg, gaining valuable experience across the German football system.

Last season, Ouro-Tagba spent the 2025/26 campaign with Stuttgart II in the German third tier, where he enjoyed a productive spell in front of goal.

The young striker scored nine goals during the campaign, performances which helped strengthen his reputation as one of Togo’s promising attacking talents and contributed to his move to Bochum.

His switch to VfL Bochum represents another important step in his career, with the club hoping that his physical presence, attacking ability and goalscoring instincts can strengthen their forward line.

For Ouro-Tagba, the move provides an opportunity to compete regularly in the 2. Bundesliga while continuing his development in an environment he already knows well.

Born in 2004, the Togolese forward now begins a new chapter of his career at Bochum, where he will remain under contract for the next four seasons.

The 21-year-old will be hoping to build on his nine-goal campaign with Stuttgart II and make a strong impression as he takes on the challenge of German second-tier football.
