Kilian Nikiema extends ADO Den Haag contract until 2030

Kilian Nikiema has signed a new contract with ADO Den Haag that will keep the Burkina Faso goalkeeper at the Dutch club until the middle of 2030.

The 23-year-old was originally contracted to ADO Den Haag until mid-2027, but the two parties have now agreed an extension of three years. The new deal underlines the importance of Nikiema to the club after he established himself as their first-choice goalkeeper.

Nikiema has been part of ADO Den Haag for almost a decade. Born in Voorburg, he joined the club’s academy in 2016 and progressed through its youth system before signing his first professional contract in 2019.

He extended his commitment to ADO Den Haag again in 2022, when he also became a permanent member of the first team. Since then, his role has continued to grow, with the goalkeeper eventually taking over as the club’s regular starter during the 2024-25 season.

Nikiema has remained a key figure between the posts since earning that position. He has now made 84 official appearances for ADO Den Haag’s first team, a total that reflects his development from academy player to an established senior goalkeeper.

The contract agreement ensures the club will retain one of its most important players for the coming years. Nikiema’s previous deal was due to run until mid-2027, but his extended terms now keep him tied to ADO Den Haag until mid-2030.

His journey at the club began when he arrived at the academy in 2016, and he has spent the majority of his football career within the ADO Den Haag set-up. After making the move into professional football in 2019, he took another step forward three years later by securing a place in the first-team group on a permanent basis.

That progression culminated in the 2024-25 campaign, when Nikiema became the club’s established starting goalkeeper. His performances and continued presence in the line-up have since made him an important part of ADO Den Haag’s squad.

With the new agreement now in place, Nikiema’s long-term future will remain at the club where he developed after joining from the local area. ADO Den Haag’s decision to extend his contract reflects the goalkeeper’s status after 84 official first-team appearances and nearly 10 years with the club.
