The report, published on Thursday, 6 August 2026, says FIFA intends to give the Santiago Bernabeu the honour of staging the tournament’s concluding match as part of the arrangements for the 2030 World Cup.

The 2030 tournament will be hosted by Spain, Portugal and Morocco. Its opening matches are due to take place in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay as part of celebrations marking the competition’s centenary.

According to RNE Deportes, Morocco’s potential selection as host of the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup is also linked to the broader organisational agreements surrounding the 2030 World Cup.
