TSV Hartberg bring in Germany-Nigeria forward Chilohem Onuoha from Estrela Amadora
Germany-Nigeria forward Chilohem Onuoha has joined Austrian Bundesliga club TSV Hartberg from Estrela Amadora on loan, adding a 21-year-old centre-forward to their squad.
Onuoha’s move to Austria was completed on 5 August 2026, with the loan agreement running until 30 June 2027. He will return to Estrela Amadora at the end of the arrangement. No transfer fee has been given for the move.
Born in Berlin, Onuoha represents both German and Nigerian footballing backgrounds and stands 1.88m tall. He is comfortable using either foot and arrives at Hartberg after spending the opening part of 2026 with Estrela, having joined the Portuguese club from 1. FC Koln on a free transfer in January.
Before his move to Portugal, Onuoha spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan at SC Verl from Koln. He made 33 appearances in the German third tier, scoring six goals and providing five assists. His time at Verl also included a successful run in the Westphalia Cup, where he scored six goals in six appearances as the club lifted the trophy.
The striker began his youth career with Fuchse before moving to Hertha Berlin, where he won the German Under-17 Bundesliga North/North-east title with Hertha’s under-17 side in 2021-22. He later transferred to RB Leipzig’s under-19 team before joining Koln in July 2024.
Onuoha’s six-goal return in the 2025-26 Westphalia Cup made him the competition’s leading scorer. His wider record also includes seven goals in 19 appearances in the Under-19 Bundesliga North/North-east and five goals in 14 Under-17 Bundesliga appearances.
The move to Hartberg gives Onuoha a chance to continue his senior career in Austria after a brief spell in Portugal. He joins a club competing in Austria’s top flight and is tied to the move until the end of June 2027, when the loan is scheduled to conclude.
Chilohem Onuoha has therefore completed a loan move from Estrela Amadora to TSV Hartberg for the 2026-27 season.
