Roma consider move for Verona midfielder Abdul Alim Compaore

Abdul Alim Compaore, the 16-year-old Italy and Burkina Faso midfielder at Verona U18, has been linked with a move to Roma U20 in Italy’s Primavera 1.

The defensive midfielder joined Verona’s Under-18 side from Hellas U17 on 1 July 2026 and has made four appearances this season, playing 142 minutes. He also featured regularly for Hellas at Under-17 level last season, recording 23 appearances and scoring twice.

A move to Roma would represent another step up in the Italian youth system for Compaore, who has changed clubs twice since leaving Brescia’s youth setup. He joined Brescia U17 from the club’s youth ranks in July 2025 before switching to Hellas Verona a month later.

The reported interest comes shortly after his arrival at Verona U18, where he is currently playing in the defensive midfield position. The proposed destination, Roma U20, competes in Primavera 1, the top level of Italian under-20 football.

There is no indication of a completed agreement, and Compaore remains a Verona U18 player.
