KVC Westerlo add teenage Cameroon midfielder Philippe Bibout

Cameroon midfielder Philippe Bibout has joined Belgian club KVC Westerlo from Gambinos Stars, completing a move to the Jupiler Pro League side.

The 18-year-old central midfielder switches clubs on 5 August 2026 after leaving Gambinos Stars, who are based in The Gambia. Bibout will now continue his career in Belgium with Westerlo.

Bibout’s arrival adds a young midfield option to Westerlo’s squad. The player is listed primarily as a central midfielder and holds Cameroon nationality.

The move represents a change of footballing environment for Bibout, who has moved from Gambinos Stars in The Gambia to a club competing in Belgium’s top-flight competition. Westerlo are based in Belgium and will be Bibout’s new club from the 2026-27 season.

No transfer fee has been disclosed for the move, and no contract expiry date has been announced. Bibout has nevertheless completed his switch and is now registered with KVC Westerlo.
