Aliou Thiare: Dynamo Kyiv defender named in unusual transfer rumour
Senegal centre-back Aliou Thiare, who currently plays for Dynamo Kyiv, has been linked with a move to Dynamo Kyiv in the Ukrainian Premier Liga.
The rumour, dated 4 August 2026, does not identify a different destination for the 22-year-old, leaving the reported move aligned with his existing club rather than signalling a confirmed transfer elsewhere. No probability or proposed fee has been given.
Thiare joined Dynamo Kyiv from Le Havre AC on 2 September 2025 in a deal reportedly worth €1m. He remains under contract with the Ukrainian club until 30 June 2029.
The defender has made one appearance in UEFA Europa League qualifying this season, featuring in 22% of Dynamo Kyiv’s available minutes, with no goals or assists recorded. He was also part of the squad that won the Ukrainian Cup in the 2025-26 campaign.
Born in Diouloulou, Senegal, Thiare began his senior development with Le Havre’s reserve side after progressing through Diambars FC’s youth teams. He spent part of the 2024-25 season on loan at AS Nancy before returning to Le Havre and moving permanently to Dynamo Kyiv.
At 1.94m and left-footed, Thiare is listed as a centre-back and has a current market valuation of €1m. His contractual position at Dynamo Kyiv remains unchanged, with three years left on his existing deal.
