Tottenham’s Victor Osimhen offer rejected as Galatasaray demand €75m

Tottenham have had an offer for Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen rejected, with the Turkish club insisting they will require at least €75m to consider selling the Nigeria international.

The proposal has been turned down because Galatasaray’s valuation of Osimhen remains significantly higher than the amount offered by the Premier League club. Their position is clear: any move for the striker must meet a minimum asking price of €75m.

Tottenham’s interest comes as they continue to search for an attacker. The fact that the Spurs are looking to strengthen in that position is no longer a secret, with several candidates already linked with a possible move to the London club.

However, Osimhen has now emerged as the player Tottenham are determined to pursue. The club are expected to make every effort to complete a deal for the Nigerian, despite the initial setback and Galatasaray’s firm financial demands.

The negotiations face another significant obstacle beyond the transfer fee. Osimhen’s salary is also proving difficult to resolve, creating a further point of disagreement between Tottenham and the player’s representatives.

That financial issue could complicate the London club’s efforts even if they were prepared to meet Galatasaray’s €75m valuation. A deal would therefore require progress on both the fee demanded by the Turkish side and the wage package sought by Osimhen.

For now, Galatasaray have rejected Tottenham’s proposal and maintained that the Nigerian will not be allowed to leave for less than €75m. Tottenham’s interest remains strong, but the two sides are yet to reach an agreement.

The striker’s name is one of several to have been discussed for Tottenham’s attack. Nevertheless, the club’s current priority is to push ahead with an attempt to bring Osimhen to London, despite the salary hurdle that remains in the negotiations.
