Depu linked with Petro Luanda move after six months at Young Africans
Angolan forward Depu, currently with Tanzania’s Young Africans, has been linked with a return to Petro Luanda.
The 26-year-old centre-forward joined Young Africans on 14 January 2026 from Polish club Radomiak, in a transfer reported at €250,000. He had moved to Radomiak from Portugal’s Gil Vicente six months earlier.
A return to Petro Luanda would take Depu back to the club he left in January 2023, when he joined Gil Vicente for a reported €500,000. He had previously developed in Angola with Sagrada Esperanca and Caala after beginning his senior career at Academica do Lobito.
Depu has also played in Serbia and Poland, spending part of the 2024-25 season on loan at Vojvodina before returning to Gil Vicente. In Portugal’s top flight, he made 24 appearances and scored three goals, adding one assist.
His career record also includes nine appearances and two goals in the CAF Champions League, along with four goals across Serbia’s league and cup competitions.
The proposed move is currently a rumour, with no agreement or transfer fee confirmed. Depu remains a Young Africans player, having only joined the Tanzanian club earlier in 2026.
