The first football team of Al Ahly continued its training this morning at El Tetsh Stadium in preparation for the upcoming match against JS Kabylie of Algeria in the fourth round of the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
The team’s training included physical exercises and ball drills, with the coaching staff focusing on implementing various technical aspects.
Ahmed Abd El Kader and Ahmed Nabil Koka continued their rehabilitation program on the sidelines of the training to prepare for their return to collective participation.
The duo engaged in running exercises around the pitch and performed specific drills as part of their individual programs under the supervision of the club’s medical staff.
During the training session, Dr. Ahmed Gab, the head of the medical staff, briefed Marcel Koller, the head coach, and Khaled Bebo, the football director, on the extent of the injury sustained by Wessam Abu Ali, who underwent necessary medical examinations yesterday.
Dr. Gab announced that Wessam Abu Ali suffered a hamstring injury and is undergoing a treatment and rehabilitation program to prepare for his return to the field.
The team had recently completed an external training camp in Ajman, UAE, featuring friendly matches against Saudi side Al-Ahda and Hatta from the Emirates.
This camp aimed to prepare for the upcoming challenges, notably the match against JS Kabylie in the CAF Champions League.
