Aris Saloniki consider Sunderland defender Arthur Masuaku transfer
DR Congo international Arthur Masuaku is being linked with a move from Sunderland to Greek club Aris Saloniki.
The 32-year-old left-back is contracted to Sunderland until 30 June 2027, but Aris are reported to be considering a transfer for the defender. Masuaku’s current market value is listed at €2m.
Masuaku joined Sunderland on a free transfer from Besiktas on 10 August 2025. He spent part of the 2025-26 season on loan at Lens, moving to the French club in January before returning to Sunderland at the end of June.
During his spell with Lens, Masuaku was part of the side that won the French Cup in the 2025-26 campaign. He has also won domestic honours in Greece and Turkey during his career, including two Greek league titles with Olympiacos and the Turkish Cup with Besiktas.
Masuaku has made 32 appearances for Sunderland, including 26 in the Premier League, since joining the club. He has also played four matches for DR Congo at the 2026 World Cup, starting all four and providing one assist.
The defender began his senior career with Valenciennes before moving to Olympiacos in 2014. He later spent six seasons at West Ham, followed by spells with Besiktas, Sunderland and Lens.
No transfer fee or agreement has been reported, and Masuaku remains a Sunderland player with two years left on his contract.
