Mohamed-Ali Cho set for Premier League move as Hull City close in

Hull City are nearing an agreement with OGC Nice to sign 22-year-old forward Mohamed-Ali Cho, with the transfer expected to be worth about €20m.

The France-born right winger, who has Moroccan and Ivorian heritage, is wanted by several clubs but now appears set to leave the French club this summer. Unless there is a late change in negotiations, OGC Nice and Hull City are expected to complete the remaining details of the deal shortly.

The proposed fee would make Cho the most significant sale of OGC Nice’s summer transfer window. The French club signed him from Real Sociedad two years ago for approximately €10m, meaning his departure would deliver a substantial profit.

Cho’s sale would also support OGC Nice’s financial strategy. The club needs to reduce its expenditure and generate significant income during this summer’s transfer window, while a completed deal would give them greater flexibility to accelerate their own recruitment plans.

OGC Nice have already made progress on several potential signings as they look to strengthen their squad. Cho’s departure would therefore allow the club to move forward with those plans while securing a sizeable transfer income.

Hull City, promoted to the Premier League, are seeking to improve their attacking options with a young player who offers pace, athleticism and considerable potential. Although Cho’s statistics have been relatively modest during his time with OGC Nice, he remains highly regarded in the transfer market because of his physical qualities and scope for development.

Cho is currently under contract with OGC Nice until 30 June 2028. His existing deal gives the French club a strong negotiating position, but the proposed €20m fee would still represent a major investment for Hull City as they prepare for life in the Premier League.

The forward is valued at €15m by Transfermarkt and is now poised to take on a new challenge in England. A move to Hull City would give him the opportunity to continue his development in one of the world’s most competitive leagues and attempt to reach another level in his career.

For OGC Nice, the transfer would bring a significant financial return on a player recruited for around half the reported sale price. For Hull City, it would provide an attacking addition with Premier League potential as the club builds its squad following promotion.
