Belgian-Cameroonian midfielder Alan Mbega joins R Knokke FC on free transfer

Belgian-Cameroonian midfielder Alan Mbega has joined R Knokke FC from STVV Youth on a free transfer, giving the 19-year-old a new club in Belgium’s 1ste Nationale VV.

Mbega has signed a contract with R Knokke FC running until 30 June 2027. The defensive midfielder completed the move on 3 August 2026 after leaving STVV Youth, where he had been part of the St-Truiden pathway.

The right-footed midfielder stands 1.85m tall and has played 42 matches in the 2de Nationale VV B, scoring once. His move takes him from that competition to R Knokke FC’s 1ste Nationale VV campaign.

Mbega joined St-Truiden U21 from St-Truiden U18 on 1 July 2023, having moved to the club’s under-18 side from Mouscron U18 a year earlier. His switch from Mouscron to St-Truiden was also completed as a free transfer.

He now continues his development with R Knokke FC, with the club securing his services without a transfer fee. Mbega’s contract at his new club runs through the end of June 2027.
