Nigerian midfielder Julius Offorzor has joined ACS Minerul Lupeni from FC Swieqi United on a free transfer, adding a 22-year-old central midfielder to the Romanian club’s squad.

The move was completed on 3 August 2026 after Offorzor left the Maltese side, where he had spent the 2025-26 season. He joined Swieqi United from fellow Maltese club Oratory Youths in July 2025, also on a free transfer.

Offorzor’s latest recorded campaign included 10 appearances in the Gozo League, with the midfielder scoring once across 891 minutes. His playing role is listed as central midfield, providing Lupeni with an option in the middle of the pitch as the club begins a new chapter for the Nigeria-born player.

The transfer continues a sequence of moves completed without a fee for Offorzor. Before arriving at Swieqi United, he had moved from Ighalo FA to Oratory Youths in January 2025. Both that switch and his subsequent move to Swieqi were free transfers.

Offorzor was born on 8 July 2004 and stands 1.77 metres tall. His nationality is Nigeria, and his senior club career has so far taken him from Ighalo FA to Oratory Youths, then Swieqi United and now ACS Minerul Lupeni.

Lupeni becomes the latest destination in a career that has included football in Malta and now Romania. The player’s arrival was recorded at the start of the 2026-27 season, with the move marking his first change of club since leaving Malta.

No transfer fee has been attached to the deal, and no contract expiry date has been provided for the midfielder’s spell at Lupeni. Offorzor’s free transfer from FC Swieqi United to ACS Minerul Lupeni was completed on 3 August 2026.
