Feyenoord end Chris-Kevin Nadje spell as Ivorian midfielder moves to Eupen

Chris-Kevin Nadje has left Feyenoord to join KAS Eupen, bringing an end to the 24-year-old Ivorian midfielder’s time with the Dutch club after two loan spells away from Rotterdam.

Nadje’s move means Feyenoord have now said goodbye permanently to a player who remained under contract with the club until the middle of 2028. He will continue his career in Belgium with KAS Eupen, who will compete in the Belgian second division next season.

The transfer follows the conclusion of Nadje’s latest loan spell at Monterey Bay in the United States. That agreement officially ended last Friday, after Feyenoord had given the midfielder permission to travel to America at the end of March.

His move to Monterey Bay came after an earlier loan at Excelsior ended ahead of schedule. Nadje had been left out of Excelsior’s squad for disciplinary reasons, bringing his time with the club to a premature close before he made the switch to the United States.

The two temporary moves limited Nadje’s opportunities at Feyenoord, where he made 13 appearances for the 16-time Dutch champions. He joined the Rotterdam club from FC Versailles in the summer of 2024.

Nadje’s departure marks the end of a short spell at De Kuip, despite the length of the contract he had signed with Feyenoord. The club had retained control of his future through an agreement running until mid-2028, but his next destination will now be KAS Eupen.

The Belgian side will begin the new season in the country’s second tier, giving Nadje the chance to establish himself in a different football environment after a period marked by two loan moves.

For Feyenoord, the decision closes a chapter that began with the midfielder’s arrival from FC Versailles. His time at the club ultimately consisted of 13 appearances before the loans to Excelsior and Monterey Bay led to his permanent exit.

The midfielder’s immediate future is therefore settled after a season in which his path was disrupted by the early end of his spell at Excelsior and the subsequent move to the United States. With his Monterey Bay loan formally complete, Nadje can now begin his next stage at KAS Eupen.

Feyenoord’s farewell comes despite the fact that Nadje still had several years remaining on his contract at De Kuip. His move to Eupen brings his association with the Dutch champions to a close and completes a sequence of departures that began with the first of his two loans.
