Kwaku Karikari linked with FC Rapid 1923 move from Zelez. Pancevo
Ghanaian centre-forward Kwaku Karikari, who plays for Zelez. Pancevo, has been linked with a move to Romanian club FC Rapid 1923.
The 24-year-old joined the Serbian Superliga side permanently from AC Horsens on 28 July 2026 in a deal worth €600,000. The transfer followed a loan spell at Zelez. Pancevo during the 2025-26 season, after which he returned briefly to Horsens before completing the permanent move.
Karikari has yet to make an appearance for Zelez. Pancevo in the early 2026-27 campaign. He was listed without an appearance in both the opening Superliga fixture and the first UEFA Conference League qualifying match.
The Obuasi-born striker is valued at €2m and is under contract with Zelez. Pancevo until 30 June 2029. He previously joined Horsens from Serbian club Jedinstvo Ub in July 2024 for €300,000, having begun his senior career in Ghana with Liberty Professionals.
A move to Rapid 1923 would represent another switch between European leagues for Karikari, who has spent the majority of his recent career in Serbia and Denmark. The reported interest comes only days after his permanent return to Zelez. Pancevo, where his current contractual situation remains unchanged.
