Ayoub Chaabane joins Hammam Sousse on a free transfer
Tunisia midfielder Ayoub Chaabane has joined Hammam Sousse on a free transfer, taking the 27-year-old left midfielder to a club competing in the country’s Ligue 1.
Chaabane arrives at Hammam Sousse after being without a club. The move was completed on 2 August 2026, with no transfer fee involved. His arrival gives the Tunisian top-flight side an experienced option on the left side of midfield as they prepare for the new season.
The transfer represents a return to club football for Chaabane, whose previous status was that of a free agent. He will now continue his career in Tunisia’s highest division with Hammam Sousse, a club based in the coastal town of the same name.
Chaabane’s primary position is left midfield, a role that places him on the flank and distinguishes his responsibilities from those of a central midfielder or forward. His position is the clearest indication of how he may be used by his new club, although no further tactical details have been provided.
The player’s market value is recorded at €150,000, but Hammam Sousse have secured his services without paying a fee. That figure is separate from the completed transfer and does not represent a payment made by the club.
Chaabane is joining a side competing in Ligue 1, the top level of Tunisian football. His move therefore keeps him within the domestic game while providing Hammam Sousse with a new senior option for their midfield.
The deal also gives the club a player of Tunisian nationality at a position identified as left midfield. No contract length has been announced, and there are no further terms attached to the move.
Hammam Sousse have now completed the signing of Ayoub Chaabane, who joins the club as a free agent.
