Mohamed Amoura: Algeria forward linked with Wolfsburg-to-Leipzig move
Algerian forward Mohamed Amoura is the subject of a reported move from Wolfsburg to Leipzig, in a potential transfer between two German clubs. The 26-year-old centre-forward is currently with Wolfsburg, who are listed in the 2. Bundesliga, while Leipzig compete in the Bundesliga.
Amoura’s market value is placed at €20m, giving the reported link a significant financial dimension, although there is no indication of an agreed fee or completed negotiations. The available information does not confirm whether Leipzig have made a formal offer for the Algeria international.
The forward remains under contract with Wolfsburg until 30 June 2029, meaning he is not approaching the end of his deal and would not be available as a free agent. Any move would therefore require an agreement between the two clubs.
Leipzig’s interest, as currently reported, would see Amoura remain in Germany while moving to a higher division. Wolfsburg’s status in the 2. Bundesliga and Leipzig’s position in the Bundesliga provide the central context to the rumour, but no transfer has been confirmed.
For now, Amoura remains a Wolfsburg player, with his long-term contract running through the end of June 2029.
