Anthony Tra Bi Tra joins JS Saoura as free-agent move takes Ivorian-Tanzanian defender to Algeria

Ivorian-Tanzanian centre-back Anthony Tra Bi Tra has joined JS Saoura, completing a free transfer from Tanzanian club Singida SC.

The 27-year-old defender’s move to the Algerian Ligue 1 side was completed on 1 August 2026. Tra Bi Tra leaves Singida after two years with the club, having moved there from Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas in July 2024, also on a free transfer.

Standing at 1.91m, Tra Bi Tra is a right-footed central defender. His arrival gives JS Saoura a player who has featured in African club competitions, including both the CAF Confederation Cup and the CAF Champions League.

Tra Bi Tra has made 15 appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup, scoring once, and has played 13 times in the CAF Champions League. His recorded Confederation Cup appearances account for 1,305 minutes, while he has played 1,081 minutes in the Champions League.

The defender began his senior career in France with FC Foix before joining ASEC Mimosas in March 2021. That switch was completed without a transfer fee, and he spent three years with the Ivorian club before moving to Singida.

His move to JS Saoura continues a sequence of free transfers across his recent career. He now leaves Tanzania for Algeria, where he will continue his career in the country’s top flight.
