KACM Marrakech sign Morocco right-back Abdelkarim Baadi on free transfer

Morocco right-back Abdelkarim Baadi has joined KACM Marrakech from Raja Casablanca on a free transfer, giving the Botola Pro Inwi club an experienced defender for the 2026-27 season.

Baadi, 30, completed the move on 1 August 2026 after two years with Raja. He has agreed a contract with KACM Marrakech running until 30 June 2027.

The defender arrives with extensive experience in Moroccan football and African club competitions. He has made 156 appearances in the Botola Pro Inwi, scoring twice and providing 10 assists, while also featuring 46 times in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Baadi has also played in the CAF Champions League, CAF Super Cup, Moroccan Cup and Excellence Cup during his career. His record includes four appearances in the Champions League and two in the Super Cup, as well as 10 Moroccan Cup appearances and three assists.

His most successful period came with Renaissance de Berkane, where he won the CAF Confederation Cup in the 2021-22 season and the CAF Super Cup in 2022-23. He also lifted the Moroccan Cup twice with the club, in 2021-22 and 2022-23.

Baadi was part of Morocco’s squad that won the African Nations Championship in 2020-21, adding an international honour to his club achievements. He began his senior career with Hassania after progressing through the HUSA youth system and under-21 side.

His move to Raja Casablanca in July 2024 followed a free transfer from Renaissance de Berkane, while he had previously joined Berkane from Hassania in October 2020 for €185,000.

A left-footed defender who operates primarily at right-back, Baadi joins KACM Marrakech with a market value of €250,000 and a substantial record of domestic and continental competition.

Baadi’s contract with KACM Marrakech is in place until 30 June 2027.
