Sheffield United linked with Dallas defender Osaze Urhoghide

Osaze Urhoghide, the English-Nigerian defender at Dallas, has been linked with a move to Championship club Sheffield United.

The 26-year-old centre-back has made 14 appearances in Major League Soccer during the 2026 season, scoring once and providing one assist. He has started 82% of Dallas’s possible league games and played 82% of the available minutes.

Urhoghide joined Dallas from French club Amiens SC in February 2025 in a deal worth €3m. His current market value is listed at €2m, while his contract with the MLS side runs until 31 December 2028.

A right-footed defender, Urhoghide has previously spent time with Celtic and Belgian club KV Oostende. He won the Scottish Premiership and Scottish League Cup with Celtic during the 2021-22 season, although his most recent move was from Amiens to Dallas.

The reported link with Sheffield United comes as Urhoghide continues to feature regularly for Dallas, with his current campaign including four yellow cards but no red cards. There is no indication that an agreement has been reached, and the rumour remains at the linking stage.

Urhoghide began his senior career with Sheffield Wednesday before moving to Celtic in 2021. He later spent time on loan at KV Oostende and joined Amiens permanently in 2023.

He remains contracted to Dallas until the end of 2028.
