Osaze Urhoghide: Burnley linked with FC Dallas defender
English-Nigerian defender Osaze Urhoghide is the subject of a transfer rumour linking him with a move from FC Dallas to Burnley.
The 26-year-old centre-back is currently contracted to FC Dallas, with his deal running until 31 December 2028. Burnley are listed as the club linked with a move for the defender, with the Championship side the potential destination.
Urhoghide has been a regular presence for Dallas in Major League Soccer this season, appearing in 14 of the club’s 17 possible matches. He has started 82% of those games and has contributed one goal and one assist, while receiving four yellow cards.
He joined Dallas from Amiens SC on 11 February 2025 in a deal recorded at €3m. His current market value is listed at €2m.
Urhoghide began his senior career with Sheffield Wednesday before moving to Celtic in 2021. He spent loan spells with Belgian club KV Oostende and later joined Amiens permanently, ahead of his move to Major League Soccer.
During his time with Celtic, he was part of the side that won the Scottish league title and Scottish League Cup in the 2021-22 season.
The rumour is dated 1 August 2026; no transfer fee, probability or agreement has been specified. Urhoghide remains a Dallas player under contract through the end of 2028.
