Genoa linked with Al-Ittihad forward George Ilenikhena

Nigerian-French forward George Ilenikhena has been linked with a move from Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad to Serie A side Genoa.

Ilenikhena, 19, plays as a centre-forward and is currently contracted to Al-Ittihad until 30 June 2029. The reported move would take him from Saudi Arabia’s top flight to Italy’s leading division, with Genoa identified as the interested club.

The transfer rumour was recorded on 31 July 2026, but there is no indication that an agreement has been reached or that the move has been confirmed. Ilenikhena therefore remains an Al-Ittihad player while the reported interest from Genoa develops.
