Bayern Munich hit 15 past eighth-tier Rottach-Egern in pre-season rout

Bayern Munich recorded a 15-0 victory over eighth-division side Rottach-Egern on Thursday, extending an extraordinary run of one-sided pre-season scorelines between the clubs to a combined 113-4 on aggregate.

The Bundesliga champions, using the friendly as part of their preparations for the new German league campaign, dominated from the outset and scored six times before half-time and nine more after the interval.

Alexander Pavlovic, Arijon Ibrahimovic, Felipe Chavez, Maicon Cardoso, Armindo Sieb, Bastian Asomo, Joao Palhinha, Joshua Kimmich and Skender Norej were all on the scoresheet for Bayern, with several players netting twice.

The latest emphatic success continues a pattern in this fixture stretching back two decades. Bayern have now beaten Rottach-Egern 14-1 (2006), 20-2 (2018), 23-0 (2019), 27-0 (2023), 14-1 (2024) and 15-0 in the 2026 meeting.

That sequence gives Bayern an aggregate score of 113-4 across the six friendlies.

Bayern score six before the break

Bayern needed only eight minutes to open the scoring when Pavlovic struck the first goal.

Ibrahimovic doubled the advantage a minute later, making it 2-0 inside the opening 10 minutes.

Felipe Chavez added the third in the 10th minute and quickly followed up with his second of the match – Bayern’s fourth – in the 13th minute.

Ibrahimovic then struck again in the second minute of first-half stoppage time to take the score to 5-0.

Maicon Cardoso closed out a ruthless first-half performance by making it 6-0 in the third minute of added time before the interval.

Nine more after half-time

Cardoso picked up where he left off after the restart, scoring Bayern’s seventh goal in the 50th minute.

Armindo Sieb made it 8-0 a minute later in the 51st minute, and Joao Palhinha added the ninth in the 56th minute as Bayern continued to overwhelm their eighth-tier opponents.

Sieb then claimed his second of the night and Bayern’s 10th in the 59th minute.

Boubacar Sidi Ndaiye extended the lead to 11-0 in the 66th minute, with Bastian Asomo adding the 12th a minute later in the 67th.

Pavlovic struck again in the 72nd minute to register Bayern’s 13th goal of the contest.

Joshua Kimmich joined the list of scorers with the 14th goal in the 86th minute.

In the final minute of normal time, Skender Norej completed the scoring at 15-0 to round off another overwhelming win for Bayern against Rottach-Egern.

The result underlines Bayern Munich’s attacking form as they continue their pre-season schedule ahead of the upcoming Bundesliga season.
