International schools championship lights up Tripoli’s sporting arenas

The International Schools Championship in Libya is currently underway at the Tripoli Leisure Space on Omar Al-Mukhtar Street, featuring competitions across the primary, preparatory, and secondary school categories.

In the Round of 16 for both primary and preparatory stages, the following results were recorded:

  1. Primary Stage:
    • Siena International School triumphed over Al-Hajaya School with a commanding 5-0 victory.
    • Al-Dawlia International School secured a 3-1 win against Al-Ma’arifa Ain Zara.
    • Jisr Al-Ilm defeated Al-Qalaa 2-0.
    • Elite School achieved a 3-0 victory against Hanadi.
    • Al-Saqr Al-Hurr emerged victorious with a 5-2 scoreline against Martyrs College.

    Furthermore, Fusion School won against Academia Schools 3-2, Royal International School outplayed Al-Alam Al-Huruf with a 2-1 score, and Al-Mustaqbal secured a thrilling victory over Sea Coast in a penalty shootout, finishing 7-6.

  2. Preparatory Stage:
    • Al-Ma’arifa Ain Zara triumphed over Royal International School with a 3-1 score.
    • Jisr Al-Ilm secured a 2-0 win against Al-Ma’arifa Al-Sarraj.
    • Al-Tarf Al-Aghr School achieved a 2-1 victory against Ma’arifa Souq Al-Jumaa.

    Additionally, Lady Bird School dominated Al-Saqr Al-Hurr with an impressive 7-0 win, Tripoli Al-Hurra secured a 1-0 win against Hanadi, International Ma’ali triumphed over Al-Mukhtar 2-0, and Martyrs College edged past Libyan Canadian School 2-1.
