Chelsea reject Como’s latest Trevoh Chalobah bid as Blues hold firm on £35m valuation

Chelsea have turned down Como’s latest attempt to sign Trevoh Chalobah, with the Premier League club unwilling to lower their asking price for the defender.

The 27-year-old centre-back is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after spending his entire career within Chelsea’s system, but a proposed reunion with former Blues midfielder Cesc Fabregas at Como has stalled.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Como’s latest proposal for the England international has been rejected by Chelsea, leaving negotiations at an impasse.

Como fall short of Chelsea’s demands

Como had submitted an offer worth around £25 million, including potential add-ons, but Chelsea remain firm on their valuation of Chalobah.

The Blues are believed to be seeking a package closer to £35 million before sanctioning the defender’s departure, creating a significant gap between the two clubs’ positions.

With talks failing to advance, Fabregas’ side have now begun looking at alternative defensive targets as they prepare for the possibility of missing out on Chalobah.

However, the player himself remains interested in completing a move to the Italian club and is keen for discussions between both sides to continue.

Chalobah open to Como switch

Chalobah, who progressed through Chelsea’s academy before establishing himself in the first team, has attracted interest from several clubs after falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

A move away this summer would mark the end of a long association with the west London club, where he made his senior debut and featured in domestic and European competitions.

Como, led by Fabregas, have been ambitious in the transfer market and see Chalobah’s experience and versatility as valuable additions to their squad.

Despite Chelsea’s rejection, the defender’s desire to join Como could play a role in determining whether further negotiations take place before the transfer window closes.

For now, the deal remains uncertain, with Chelsea prioritising their valuation while Como assess whether to return with an improved offer or pursue other options.
