The coach of the Ivory Coast Elephants, Sabri Lamouchi, has called upon Bobley Anderson to replace the withdrawn Didier Ya Konan. The Hanover striker, initially selected for the match against Senegal on October 12, had to retire due to an ankle injury suffered in the Bundesliga last Friday. Ya Konan underwent successful surgery on Monday, ruling him out of football until the end of the year.
Bobley Anderson, who joined Malaga this summer, was unable to answer the call for the friendly match against Mexico (2-4) in August.
