Al Ahly approve loan moves for Hamza Alaa and Mohamed Atef
Egyptian giants Al Ahly have given the green light for goalkeeper Hamza Alaa and young midfielder Mohamed Atef to join newly promoted Al Qanah during the current summer transfer window.
The move is part of Al Qanah’s preparations for their return to the Egyptian Premier League, with the club looking to strengthen their squad ahead of their first season back in the top flight after a lengthy absence.
Al Qanah secured promotion after an impressive campaign in the Egyptian Professional League, finishing at the top of the standings under head coach Abdel Nasser Mohamed. The club is now working on building a competitive squad capable of competing against Egypt’s biggest teams.
According to reports, Al Ahly have approved the loan departures of the two players as part of Al Qanah’s recruitment plans for the upcoming season.
Goalkeeper Hamza Alaa is one of the players set to make the temporary switch. The highly-rated shot-stopper has been part of Al Ahly’s first-team setup and has represented Egypt at youth international level, earning recognition as one of the promising goalkeeping talents in the country.
The second player involved in the deal is Mohamed Atef, a member of Al Ahly’s youth team born in 2007. The young talent is expected to gain valuable first-team experience with Al Qanah as he continues his development.
The loan agreements have received approval from Al Ahly, but some final details remain before the transfers can be officially completed.
The remaining step involves Al Qanah’s management reaching an agreement with both players regarding their financial terms and personal arrangements.
Once those discussions are concluded, the two loan deals are expected to be officially announced, allowing Hamza Alaa and Mohamed Atef to begin preparations with their new club ahead of the new Egyptian Premier League campaign.
For Al Ahly, the decision reflects their continued strategy of giving young players opportunities to gain regular competitive football away from the club before returning more experienced and ready for first-team competition.
Meanwhile, Al Qanah view the arrival of the Al Ahly duo as an important boost as they prepare for the challenges of top-flight football after earning promotion.
The newly promoted side will be hoping that players with Al Ahly experience and potential can help them establish themselves among Egypt’s elite clubs in the coming season.
