It’s official: Hervé Renard is the new coach of Sochaux in French Ligue 1. The announcement follows his departure from the Zambian national team, Chipolopolo.
Renard, the winner of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), has been presented with a promising opportunity at FC Sochaux in the French championship. Sochaux currently sits penultimate in Ligue 1, having accumulated 5 points in 9 matches. Renard’s appointment comes after the resignation of Eric Hély, the former coach, following a 1-5 defeat against Guingamp.
