FIFA reveals: MC Alger among top African clubs in 2023 transfer expenditure

The International Football Federation (FIFA) has unveiled the list of the top ten African football clubs that spent the most on player transfers during the year 2023, with Algeria’s MC Alger securing a notable position.

MC Alger, a leading team in the Mobilis Professional League, made significant moves in the transfer market, bolstering their squad with prominent players, including internationals Youssef Belaili and Jamel Belaïli.

In the rankings, the “Dean” claimed the eighth position. Topping the list were the Egyptian giants Al Ahly and Pyramids FC.

The comprehensive list comprises clubs from Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, South Africa, Sudan, and Algeria. Here is the breakdown of the top 10 clubs that made the most significant investments in transfers in 2023:
