After the Senegal-Uganda post-match, which secured the Lions’ qualification for the last round of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, there was a significant debate regarding the non-payment of victory bonuses. However, Senegalese football officials are taking measures to avoid any such issues before the crucial match against Ivory Coast.
The team has regrouped in Paris from Monday, October 7, and the officials have ensured that the players will receive their victory bonuses against Uganda, along with their summoning bonuses and reimbursements for transport tickets. A sum of 56 million FCFA will be sent to Paris for this purpose, and the payments are scheduled to be made from Tuesday, putting an end to the concerns surrounding the bonus payments.
The president of the Senegalese football federation emphasized that this situation was unwanted, but they are optimistic that such problems will not arise in the future. The proactive approach to addressing financial matters aims to maintain a positive atmosphere within the team as they prepare for the crucial matches ahead.
