Mohamed Gharibah, the director of the national team, has submitted a comprehensive report detailing his tenure with the team under the management of Roy Vitoria.

Gharibah adamantly refuses to shoulder the sole responsibility for the national team’s disappointing performance in the Africa Cup of Nations.

According to sources at “Al-Masry Al-Youm,” Gharibah affirmed in his report that the administrative staff should not bear the responsibility alone.

He emphasized that they fulfilled their duties diligently, providing the coaching staff and players with the conducive environment necessary for clinching the African title.

Contrary to expectations, Gharibah has declined to tender his resignation, leaving the decision to the Football Federation.

He rejects accusations of negligence, stating in the report that he was instrumental in organizing several friendly matches that exposed the national team’s weaknesses before the tournament.

Notable among these matches were encounters with Tunisia, Zambia, and Algeria.

However, Gharibah distanced himself from negotiations with several players who were in talks with clubs such as Al-Ahly, Al-Shabab, Al-Saud, and Al-Duhail in Qatar during the championship.

He made it clear in the report that such negotiations were beyond his purview.

The fate of his position now rests in the hands of the Football Federation, as the aftermath of the Africa Cup of Nations continues to unfold.
