Spain’s Lamine Yamal set for dream World Cup 2026 final meeting with Lionel Messi

“Messi… in the World Cup final,” he replied, while expressing his hope that Spain and Argentina would meet in the tournament’s decisive match.

That scenario became a reality after Spain defeated France 2-0 to reach the final, before Argentina fought back to beat England 2-1 in a dramatic second semi-final.
