Brahim Moumou: German-Moroccan winger steps up to 1860 Munich first team

German-Moroccan winger Brahim Moumou has joined 1860 Munich’s first team from 1860 Munchen II, completing an internal move that elevates the 25-year-old into the senior squad. The left-sided attacker, who prefers to operate off the left flank and cut inside on his right foot, links up with the Regionalliga Bayern side after impressing in the club’s second team.

Moumou has been promoted after a productive spell in the Bayernliga Sud, where he contributed five goals and six assists in 23 appearances for 1860 Munchen II. His performances in the reserve ranks have now earned him an opportunity to compete regularly at a higher level with the traditional Munich club.

Born on 6 May 2001 and standing at 1.79m, Moumou represents both Germany and Morocco at nationality level and returns fully to a senior environment he first touched earlier in his career abroad. Before rejoining 1860’s setup in 2024, he spent time in Slovakia with STK Samorin and then DAC Dunajska Streda, featuring in league action and European qualifying ties, including appearances in UECL qualifying.

Moumou originally came through 1860’s youth system, progressing from the youth ranks to the U17s and U19s before leaving for Slovakia in 2020. He later returned to Munich after a brief spell without a club, rebuilding his career through the second team and helping secure a Bayernliga South championship.

The winger now moves permanently into 1860 Munich’s first-team squad, with the transfer from 1860 Munchen II completed on 16 July 2026.
