Rafael Leao: Fenerbahce linked with move for AC Milan and Portugal winger
Portugal and Angola left winger Rafael Leao of AC Milan is being linked with a summer move to Turkish side Fenerbahce, according to transfer data suggesting a 38% probability of the deal being completed.
The 27-year-old, who wears the No 10 shirt for Milan, is listed with a market value of 50.00m (42.3m) and is being monitored by the Istanbul club as they assess high-profile attacking options in the Super Lig. Transfermarkts latest update, dated 5 July 2026, records the interest as a rumour rather than an advanced negotiation.
Leaos contractual situation at San Siro is unclear, with no expiry date registered in the current data. That raises the possibility that, depending on undisclosed terms or any unreported extension talks, he could edge towards a free agent scenario in a future window if Milan do not formalise his stay.
The forward, born in Almada on 10 June 1999 and standing at 1.88m, has been a central figure for Milan since arriving from Lille in August 2019. Before his move to Serie A, he progressed through Sporting CPs academy sides from youth level in 2012 up through the U17, U19 and B teams before stepping into Ligue 1 with Lille in 2018.
Recent form has been closely watched in Italy. In Milans latest league outing before this rumour surfaced a Serie A fixture against Lazio at San Siro on 1 May 2026 Leao started on the left, with the match finishing 1-1 after he produced a lively but ultimately goalless performance, threatening repeatedly without finding a decisive contribution.
Leaos market value has declined from a peak of 90m in 2023 to its current 50m, reflecting Milans mixed recent campaigns but still underlining his status as one of the more valuable wide forwards in Europe. Having represented both Portugal and Angola at youth or heritage level, his dual-national background further adds to his profile.
For Fenerbahce, the prospect of prising an established Serie A attacker away from Milan would mark a significant statement, while for Leao any eventual agreement whether for a fee or, longer term, on a free if his contract situation allows could redefine the trajectory of his prime years.
