FCSB eye move for Belgium-Morocco midfielder Sami Lahssaini from La Louviere
Belgium-Morocco central midfielder Sami Lahssaini of La Louviere is being linked with a summer move to Romanian side FCSB, according to the latest transfer listings.
The 27-year-old, born in Liege and standing at 1.77m, is currently valued at 700,000 (approx. value) on Transfermarkt, with the SuperLiga club credited with an interest in prising him away from Belgium. The move is described as a rumour and the reported probability of it happening is listed only as ?, underlining that talks are at an early and uncertain stage.
Lahssainis contractual situation at RAAL La Louviere is unclear, with no expiry date registered. That has fuelled suggestions he could become available as a free agent if no formal deal is recorded, a factor that would make any transfer to FCSB significantly more straightforward and potentially costeffective.
The right-footed midfielder, who can operate in central roles, returned to La Louviere on a permanent basis on 1 July 2024 after a loan spell from French club FC Metz earlier that year. He had initially joined the Belgian side on loan in January 2024 before Metz recalled him on 30 June, only for La Louviere to bring him back immediately on a standard transfer.
Lahssaini has built a career shuttling between France and Belgium. After progressing through the youth ranks at Standard Liege and RFC Seraing, he moved into senior football with Seraing and later signed for Metz, spending multiple loan spells back at Seraing between 2019 and 2023. His market value has steadily risen in recent seasons, climbing from 350,000 in December 2024 to 700,000 by June 2026 while at La Louviere.
No recent individual match data has been formally reported in the latest listing, but the consistent upward trend in his valuation suggests regular involvement and solid form for the Jupiler Pro League outfit.
If FCSB turn tentative interest into a concrete offer, a move to Romanias SuperLiga would add another chapter to Lahssainis cross-border career and offer him a fresh stage to enhance his reputation in central midfield.
