Hellas Verona track Juventus youngster Augusto Owusu in Serie B move
Italy-Ghana midfielder Augusto Owusu of Juve Next Gen is being linked with a summer move to Hellas Verona as the Serie B side assess midfield options ahead of the new campaign.
The 21-year-old central midfielder, who stands at 1.89m and is valued at around 600,000 on Transfermarkt, is currently under contract with Juventus second team in Serie C though no expiry date is listed, raising the possibility of a future free-agent scenario if fresh terms are not agreed. The probability of a transfer remains unclear, with the move rated simply as ? in early reports.
Born in Turin on 28 January 2005, Owusu has spent almost his entire career in the Juventus system. He joined Juventus Youth in 2012, progressing through the Under-17s and Primavera before being promoted to Juve Next Gen on 1 July 2024. His only spell away from the club came via a loan to Reggianas Primavera side in the 2022-23 season, returning to Juventus the following summer.
Owusu, who is right-footed and primarily operates as a central midfielder, has been used regularly in Serie C for Juve Next Gen. In a recent outing in the 2025-26 campaign a late-season fixture against a fellow Serie C Girone A opponent in April 2026, which finished 1-1 he started in the middle of the park and completed the full 90 minutes, underlining his growing importance at that level.
His market value has fluctuated despite his steady rise. From 50,000 at Juventus Primavera in June 2024, it jumped to 800,000 by December 2024 after his early impact with Juve Next Gen, before dipping to 700,000 across 2025 and settling at 600,000 in June 2026.
Hellas Verona, who are preparing for another Serie B season, are monitoring that trajectory as they weigh whether to formalise their interest. A step up from Serie C to Serie B would offer Owusu a higher competitive stage, and if the move materialises, it could be a significant marker in defining his reputation as one of the more promising midfielders to emerge from Juventus academy in recent years.
